Hydromaster – service for providing radar-based observation and forecast model data
About John Griffiths & Frank Schlaeger
Dr. Frank Schlaeger
Frank studied civil engineering with focus on water resources management at the Technical University at Aachen, Germany. After finishing his PhD he started at KISTERS in 2002. He is senior project manager and key account for KISTERS UK and Ireland clients.
The seminar will give an introduction to the new service for providing radar-based observation and forecast model data. The focus will be on modelling of the 3 types of forecast data, which are
• MOS data – representing the deterministic point forecast data,
• ensemble data – representing the probabilistic forecast data and
• EFI_index – representing deterministic point forecast data, derived from a regular grid as part the of the ECMWF deterministic data.
