Previously known as Osiris Projects, Bibby HydroMap was founded in 1997 and since then has established itself as a leading marine survey contractor in the UK and Europe. This has been achieved through a customer-led approach, supported by professional, specialised personnel and advanced, high specification vessels and equipment. In 2012 the company, whilst trading as Osiris Projects, joined the Bibby Line Group. The company retains its autonomy but benefits from the backing and resource of a highly successful `local` company with a global presence and a 200 year history firmly rooted in maritime business.

In March 2015, Osiris Projects rebranded to Bibby HydroMap. Defined by their company values and new company slogan `Committed to Quality and Innovation`, Bibby HydroMap will move forward building upon the strong foundation provided by Osiris Projects.

In addition to our owned vessels and equipment, Bibby HydroMap maintain effective working relationships with a number of specialist suppliers enabling bespoke survey packages to be offered as required, including deepwater rig site clearance and environmental surveys.

Bibby HydroMap have successfully completed over 600 marine based contracts throughout the UK and northern Europe, ranging from inland surveys to full scale multi-parameter seabed mapping projects covering hundreds of square kilometres of coastal seabed.

Working extensively with clients within the oil and gas sector, Bibby HydroMap are fully compliant with stringent industry standards, are registered with Achilles and have FPAL Verify status. The company has also become a leading provider of services to the offshore wind industry, having had involvement with the majority of Rounds 1, 2 and 3 sites, in addition to a number of Scottish and European licensing areas. Having acquired an unprecedented volume of data within the offshore renewables industry over the past decade, the company is well positioned to provide the necessary expertise required for the most environmentally challenging sites. Our level of experience in this sector is among the highest in Europe. We also work regularly with port and harbour authorities, wave and tidal energy developers, utility providers, NGOs and marine dredging firms.
Bibby HydroMap employs over 100 professional, full-time personnel with a wealth of experience and expertise covering the disciplines of hydrography, engineering geophysics, marine geotechnics, engineering geology, oceanography and maritime archaeology.

Over the past five years, Bibby HydroMap have developed their market-leading marine asset inspection surveys. Combining a range of marine and terrestrial survey techniques utilising a range of high-specification positioning, marine survey, scanning and photogrammetry equipment, we can provide high-resolution 3D point cloud imagery of marine structures both above and below the waterline, providing a cost-effective substitute for traditional techniques with repeatable and measurable results all of which are BIM compatible.

Our inshore vessels can be equipped with multibeam echosounders to measure seabed bathymetry; high-frequency scanning sonar to provide high resolution data below the waterline; laser scanner for inspection above the water line and 360-degree camera for comprehensive photogrammetry, effectively removing the water to enable 3D inspections of an asset to centimetre resolution.

These techniques can also be enhanced with UAV based LiDAR, photogrammetry and HD camera in addition to land-based laser scanning.
